Kent School’s XC Championship Report

Well Done to all AAC Youngsters who took part in the Kent Schools XC Championship’s at Wilmington School. In the Year 7 Girls Alice Bussey returned from injury with a fine 58th place after loosing her shoe in difficult under foot conditions. In the year 7 boys Matt O Sullivan finished a fantastic 19th place. Faith Cox ran a well paced race to finish 61st in the Junior Girls Event.
In the Junior Boys event there was three AAC youngsters in Action, Daniel Dunlop continued his fine winter form finishing 34th and gaining selection for the Kent Schools Year 8 Squad on the 29th March in Chelmsford. Marshal Smith Finished a well deserved 83rd place after a recent injury caused him to miss the County’s. Ellis Bennett finished 113th, Like Bussey he lost his shoe in the thick mud. Dec Burton rounded out AAC presence on the day finishing in 3rd in the Inter Boys Race and gained an automatic spot on the Kent Team for the English School Championships next Month. “It was great to see so many yellow vests at these championships, a fantastic stepping stone for the Track Season for many that would not normally run XC” Well Done all :))

Well done to all AAC at the Kent County XC Championships in very tough conditions. It was by far one of the muddest courses in a long time! We saw some fine performances from AAC . Daniel Dunlop finished a fine 15th in the U13B, Dec Burton (pictured) finished a fantastic 8th in the U17B, confirming his fine winter form and selection for Kent in March at the National Inter Counties. The senior men was led in by marathoner Matt Britton 34th, Kev Williams 58th, Andy Robertson 126th, Phil Heathfield 153rd. The Senior Ladies finished 9th team with Janine Brown 27th, Jenny Brown 38th, Candy Hawkins 40th, Amanda Jukes 55th, Becky Weller 58th. Well Done to all :))

Dec’s a Success

Well done to all who took part in the Second Kent XC League at Somerhill School in tough conditions.
Thomas Keaveney finished 51st in the U13B. Next up Lydia Forsyth 45th in the U13G.
In the U15B Marshall Smith showed strength and improved to 42nd place. Dec Burton (Pictured) finished a fine 7th Place which was one place higher then he achieved at the previous match at Swanley Park.
In the Senior Ranks Kev Williams ran a solid race to finish 60th and Amanda Jukes ran a solid 67th for the Women, her first race returning to racing.

The Next match is at Nonnington (No Senior Men) on Saturday 9th November
