AAC Christmas Party

Thank you for to the members of the club who organised this event: Mrs. Tappenden, Mrs Millar, Mrs Dickenson, Stella Bandu and Jaquie, Sarah and Tom Snare on behalf of the Stadium. Apologies if we have missed out any names.

This was a very enjoyable evening experienced by the Under 13′s, u/15′s and many under 17′s, their families and friends. It was a new start by two parents backed by others associated with the club to develop the social side again. For a couple of years this has been missing, but boy it was a very good evening enjoyed by everyone.

It kicked off with a Disco playing all the current sounds, the youngsters knew them by heart and many groups were quietly singing along to them and doing the latest of action’s to the rhythm’s of the beat !. All very colourful and carnival like.

During the break for food that was provided by the main organisers, Raffle Tickets were drawn to declare the winners. All tickets were sold.

Everybody were playing their part to make the evening one to remember. There was a large amount of kindly donated prizes which allowed so many youngsters and their parents to go home with an unexpected surprise in their posession.

During this break Stella made surprise presentations to athletes within the u/13′s, u/15′s and u/17′s age groups, Girls and Boys for their excellent performances, and solid support the athletes had given to their respective Team Managers during the Summer season. Yes, Boys and Girls, you are all appreciated by the Team Managers and assisting parents, for some of you they are your own Parents who take on and enjoy not always the easiest of task of managing the team you are part of.

A round of applause I hope I hear for them.

Team work is about you the athlete and the Team Manager even if they are your Mum or Dad. Please support them at times even though you may not always agree with them. Well done by everybody who clearly spent considerable time in arranging such a grand night for all concerned.

Thank you all for an enjoyable evening.
